HGV Class 1 Drivers Needed – Skelmersdale

We are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for weekend work at a leading logistics company based in Skelmersdale. We offer competitive pay rates and flexible shifts to suit you.
Role Overview:
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out a mixture of local and distance work to Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) across the UK. This role involves driving a HGV Class 1 vehicle with curtainsided or box trailers, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods.
Hours & Shift Patterns
- Shifts available bwteen Thursday – Monday each week, either Days, Afternoons, Nights and Nights Out are available.
- Start Times between 0200 – 2300
Pay:
- Monday – Friday: £16.81 – £17.93p/h
- Saturday: £18.49p/h and Sunday: £19.61p/h
- Rates are PAYE and include holiday pay
- Night Out – £25 Per Night Out
Duties:
- Driving a HGV Class 1 vehicle with curtainsided trailers
- Carrying out general haulage and trunking work to RDCs across the UK
- Completing a mixture of local and distance work depending on the run
- Strapping and securing loads (no loading or unloading required)
- Completing daily vehicle checks and managing your driving hours
Skills & Experience:
- HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, CPC & Digi Card
- At least 1 year of HGV Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 points for minor endorsements
- Experience with curtainsided trailers and the ability to check and secure loads
