HGV Class 1 Drivers – General Haulage Work – Skelmersdale

We are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for work at leading logistics company, based in Skelmersdale.

As part of the logistics team, you will be responsible for carrying out a mixture of local and distance work to RCDs across the UK.

If you have 12 months HGV Class 1 experience, we can offer flexible shift patterns and start times to suit your needs.

Hours

The Transport department operates 24 hours a day, 7 Days per week and we can offer flexible shift patterns to suit your needs.

• Start times available between 0200 – 2300
• Monday to Friday or any 5 days from 7
• 4 days on 4 days off available
• Tramping Available
• Part time rotas available – between 2 and 4 days per week

Pay

• Monday – Friday £16.81 – £17.93p/h
• Saturday £18.49p/h Sunday £19.61p/h
• Rates are PAYE and include holiday pay

Duties

• Driving a HGV Class 1 vehicle with Curtainsided Trailers
• Carrying out General Haulage and Trunking work to RDCs across the UK
• Completing a mixture of Local and distance work depending on the run
• No loading or unloading required for this role but you will need to strap and secure the loads
• Completing daily vehicle checks and managing your Driving Hours

Skills & Experience

• HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, CPC & Digi Card
• 1 Year HGV Class 1 experience
• No more than 6 points for minor endorsements
• Experience with Curtainsided Trailers and the ability to check and secure loads
